Sotomayor Confirmed by Senate Judiciary

Members of the Senate Judiciary Committee split largely along party lines in recommending the first Hispanic nominee to the United States Supreme Court. The vote in favor of Sonia Sotomayor was 13-6, with Lindsey Graham (R-SC) the only Republican voting to support Sotomayor's nomination. The full Senate decides whether to confirm her next week.
